Ph.D. Positions (03): Applications are invited from highly motivated, committed, and research-oriented candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree during the 2026-2027 session. Candidates should be willing to take up research seriously and demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing doctoral research. Applicants with a strong academic background in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Materials Chemistry, or Nanoscience are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in electrochemistry will be considered an added advantage. 

Please note: This opportunity is intended specifically for candidates who are genuinely interested in pursuing a Ph.D. and a long-term career in research. Candidates primarily seeking a short-term job opportunity or those who believe that their interests and expertise are better suited to a different field are advised not to apply. 

Selection will be carried out in accordance with the applicable guidelines of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), followed by an interview. Postdoctoral Positions (02): We welcome applications from motivated and hardworking candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in Electrochemistry, Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience, and Computer Science (ML/AI/DFT) with a proven track record of publications in reputed international journals. We will be glad to support postdoctoral fellowship applications (ANRF/CSIR/DST funded). Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Electrode (cathode/anode) materials for Li-ion, Li-S, Na-ion, K-ion, Zn-ion, Al-ion, etc. batteries, Electrolytes, Current collectors, etc. 

M.Sc. Students: M.Sc. (Physics) students of SPS and from the collaborative institutions (ANRF-PAIR Project) who wish to pursue higher studies in Electrochemistry, Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, or Nanoscience are welcome to apply for their Master’s thesis.
